Project Co-ordinator, Edinburgh 

Location: Edinburgh (working remotely)

Contract: Part time (2 days per week) 

Start date: as soon as possible

Salary: £22,660 - 24,720 per annum, based on experience, (0.4 pro rata).

If you're interested in tackling the environmental impact of marine and river litter this could be the role for you. We're seeking a person to join the crew and lead on the delivery of activities in Edinburgh for our anti-littering campaign ‘Treasure Your River’. Candidates must have an ability to deliver complex multi-relational campaigns, be a persuasive communicator, be committed to deliver practical change at scale and share the values of Hubbub.

Treasure Your River is an anti-littering campaign aiming to engage with audiences along 5 major UK rivers and their tributaries. The rivers include the Thames, Mersey, Avon, Forth and Severn. Each river will have a hub of engagement in a city along the river, respectively London, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Each hub will have a wide range of activities including an art installation, litter picks, playful messaging, presence at public events, Plastic Fishing trips (which involve taking volunteers out on a 99% recycled plastic boat to fish for plastic), and a robot litter boat (which allow people to pilot a litter collecting robot from the shoreline. Each location will have a delivery partner to arrange logistics and to make contact with and coordinate stakeholders on a local level.

Project Co-ordinator, Hubbub Enterprise

Hubbub Enterprise is the social enterprise arm of the environmental charity Hubbub UK, which designs positive and playful campaigns that make environmental action desirable. Hubbub Enterprise draws on the charity’s work to create products and services that maximise its impact and create a financial surplus. Examples include our corporate volunteering activity, Plastic Fishing, and our anti-cigarette litter product, the Ballot Bin.

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Project Coordinator to join our purpose-driven team and support the delivery of a range of environmental campaigns. A typical week could involve creating a plan and budget for an upcoming project, brainstorming with the team to develop new campaign ideas, recruiting and supporting local partners for a city-wide recycling campaign, and providing financial administration support.

Trustee, Hubbub Foundation  

We are looking for new members to join our Board of Trustees.

This is a long term voluntary role that will involve advising on the overall direction of the Hubbub charity and supporting with reaching our desired charitable goals and impacts. Our trustees meet every two months.
