If you leave the tap on when brushing your teeth, you’re not alone – 1 in 4 of us are guilty of it. It might be hard to sink in, but leaving the tap on sends a lot of water and money down the drain.

1) Use a cup

Instead of leaving the tap on to rinse your brush – use a glass or a cup. With this simple trick, you can save 6 litres of water per minutes, adding up to 24 litres per person per day – well that’s something to smile about.

2) Memory aid

Habits can be tricky to turn, so add a post it note or sticker on the mirror to remind yourself and your family to turn off the tap. Some times a gentle nudge is all you need.
