This competition has now closed, we're currently consulting with our fellow judges and will be sharing the winners and runner ups shortly. Stay tuned by following #TapChat on social media.

Do you have a favourite plant in your garden, windowsill or park? As part of our #TapChat campaign with Affinity Water, we've been exploring how plants help the planet and how we can garden in a more environmentally friendly way

We want to celebrate the many different plants that can be found in gardens and parks around the UK - which is where you come in. We're asking you to share an image of your favourite plant. There are two ways to do this:

1) Send in a photograph - whether you have a professional camera or simply your phone - snap a picture of your favourite plant and send it in.

2) Get creative by creating an image of your plant using paints, pencils, crayons or ink. Scan or take a photo of your drawing and share with us.

The two categories 'drawing' or 'photography' will both be judged on creativity, composition and novelty. You can capture any type of plant - a flower in your garden, an indoor house plant, a plant in your local park and more.

To qua-leafy all you need to do is send your photo or drawing to us either on Twitter, Instagram or Email by Sunday 19th July.

You could win:

  • 1 x Runner up Photography Competition awarded a £100 cash prize
