These are the terms and conditions for our #TapChat photography and drawing competition. This is the boring bit, to read the fun bit and how to get involved go here

The Promoters are:

  1. Hubbub Foundation UK Registered Charity No. 1158700 | Registered Company No. 09038107. Registered office is at Somerset House, The Strand, London, WC2R 1LA (“Hubbub”); and
  2. Affinity Water Ltd Company No.02546950 | Registered office is at Tamblin Way, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9EZ (“Affinity Water”).

The prizes are as follows:

  • 1 x First Prize Photography Competition awarded a £150 cash prize
  • 1 x Runner up Photography Competition awarded a £100 cash prize
  • 1 x First Prize Drawing Competition awarded a £150 cash prize
  • 1 x Runner up Drawing Competition awarded a £100 cash prize
  • Up to 15 x highly commended awarded a copy of “Gardening with Drought-Friendly Plants” published by Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

The rules and how to enter are as follows:  

Share a drawing or photography of your favourite plant in your garden, windowsill or local park and share this on Instagram tagging @HelloHubbub  and #TapChat.

Share a drawing or photography of your favourite plant in your garden, windowsill or local park and share this on Twitter tagging @HubbubUK  and #TapChat.

Email your drawing or photo of your favourite plant in your garden, windowsill or local park to hello@hubbub.org.uk
  with subject line “#TapChat Meet My Plant Competition”

The entries will be judged on creativity, composition and novelty. You can capture any type of plant - a flower in your garden, an indoor house plant, a plant in your local park and more.

  • The competition is open to residents of the mainland United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Hubbub Foundation UK, Hubbub Enterprise, Affinity Water Ltd and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisations listed above or connected to those individuals judging of the competition. 
  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. 
  • By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions and confirmation of eligibility criteria. 
  • The competition is open from Sunday 14th June 2020. Closing date for entry will be Sunday 19th July at 23.59pm. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted. 
  • No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason. 
  • The Promoters are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition. 
  • The prizes are as follows:

  • The prizes are as stated, and no other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.  
  • The entrants will be shortlisted by the Promoter Hubbub and the winners will be judged by Tony Hall of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
  • Only one winning entry will be awarded per person.
  • The winner will be notified by email and/or direct message on Twitter or Instagram within 14 days of the closing date.  If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. 
  • Delivery of the cash prize will be made via transfer to the entrant’s bank account within 30 days of receiving the bank account details. The Promoters will not store the entrant’s bank account details or any other sensitive information.
  • Delivery of the books will be made to an address in mainland UK only.
  • The Promoters’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered. 
  • The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. 
  • The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. 
  • By entering the competition, the entrant confirms that he / her has the full copyright to the image, and grants the Promoters a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry in connection with the competition.
  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter, Instagram or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to the promoter and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at https://www.hubbub.org.uk/terms-of-service
  • The Instagram entrant must be following @HelloHubbub on Instagram in order to enter as we need to be able to direct message the winner. 
  • The Twitter entrants must be following @HubbubUK on Twitter in order to enter as we need to be able to direct message the winner.
  • The Promoters shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage. 
  • If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, a Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude entrants from participating in the competition.
  • The Promoters reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
