The United Nations has described throwing cigarette butts on the ground as ‘the last socially acceptable form of littering’. We want to change this paradigm.

Perhaps the most famous example of our work to tackle litter is the Ballot Bin: our voting ashtray which is proven to reduce cigarette litter by 46%. But now we want to go further and take our message wider.

This Hubbub campaign is aiming to raise awareness of the widely unknown fact that cigarettes are made from plastic through a visually engaging outdoor installation for the general public.

We want to raise national awareness about the plastic issue and scale of cigarette litter through an interactive installation and are looking for a designer/maker to help us develop and physically bring this idea to life.
