Sam Longworth Project Co-ordinator What's your main area of work at Hubbub? My work is mainly focused on reducing waste and litter through recycling campaigns with colourful bins, and litter-busting projects featuring drones and recycled plastic boats. What's your favourite campaign and why? The Community Fridge Network is brilliant: locally organised, scaleable and impactful. We plant seeds in communities when we give them a fridge and the tools they need to get started, and I've seen first hand at my local fridge how this seed can grow into something really special. For sheer simplicity though, I do also love the Ballot Bin. What did life before Hubbub look like? After studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Manchester Uni I had stints at a PR agency and a viscosity engineering company either side of taking some time out to travel. For as long as I can remember, I've been interested in the idea of business as a force for good and this was always a direction I wanted to explore. What else are you passionate about? My passions include cycling, cooking, football and tending to the complex needs of my yukka. I'm also passionate about the potential of progressive policies like UBI. Oh, and one day once we’ve sorted out the environment, I'd love to own a little independent cinema. What would you eat if you only had one meal left? Ratatouille (made by Remy). Freshly baked garlic bread. Jug of aperol spritz. Olives. More banoffee cheesecake than is socially acceptable. Who’s your Eco crush? Dale Vince - the man's on a mission.
