What's your main area of work at Hubbub?

All things resources and the circular economy, from litter and recycling to compostables, reuse and waste reduction. Waste is something we all interact with and have myriad different habits and attitudes surrounding it, which is what keeps me fascinated and looking for new ways to change behaviours and keep resources in the loop.

What's your favourite campaign and why?

The ballot bin, because it's back where it all began for Hubbub and where my love for Hubbub started! It perfectly sums up the simple, playful approach to change behaviours for the good of the planet. I also love our community projects for showing how positive environmental impact can go hand in hand with doing good for people too.

What did life before Hubbub look like?

I studied product design at university and went down the path of designing for environmental and social impact. After a few interships in sustainability I worked at Veolia, running recycling improvement projects and communication campaigns in Lambeth and Southwark. It was great to get a ground-level understanding of waste and recycling from the perspectives of residents, collection crews, local authorities and recycling processing facilities.

What else are you passionate about?

Cheese, pancakes, the trumpet, being by or in the sea, and having a good boogie to some soul n disco.

What would you eat if you only had one meal left?

Fancy mac n cheese and the world's biggest melting chocolate gu pud.

Who’s your Eco crush?

The first time I remember hearing about doing stuff that's good for the planet was when I was about 8 and Sara Cox was on radio 1, asking people how many sheets of toilet paper they use and telling them to cut down to save the trees. So thank you Sara for first planting the seed of sustainability in my mind.
