Rosie Gordon Lennox Senior Creative Lead What's your main area of work at Hubbub? As Creative Lead, I manage the wider comms strategy which covers a bit of everything - overseeing social media, paid advertising, our newsletter, website and the many campaigns we run across different issues. There's always too much to talk about but I love that variety and pace! It's exciting to be constantly exploring how creative communication, and bold design can influence behaviour and create positive, long lasting change. What's your favourite campaign and why? Tough question! Hubbub's campaigns that tackle a social, as well as environmental issue like Community Calling which is tackling e-waste and digital isolation at once. Love the Ballot Bin for the simplicity of the design and the playfulness of the idea - it will forever be a yellow Hubbub icon! What did life before Hubbub look like? I've always been interested in the environment having grown up in the rural countryside near Stroud and am a food fanatic with a passion for creative comms! This lead me to starting out in the food world, I worked at various organisations in Bristol whilst studying such as at Bristol Food Connections Festival and Food Connect. This experience lead me on to later start a placement in Brand & Advertising at Abel and Cole. From this, I started work at Rude Health, a fast growing food brand where I lead the marketing team as Creative Brand Manager for 4 years. In 2019 I was lucky to land the job at Hubbub and the rest is history! What else are you passionate about? Environmental justice. Connection with nature, walking, travelling, cooking, creating art, photography, yoga and the biggest love of them all - cold water swimming. What would you eat if you only had one meal left? Mac n' cheese. Comforting. Cheesy. Carby. Who’s your Eco crush? I couldn't choose between two! First is Christabel Reed who founded Advaya - a platform that looks at the climate crisis through the lens, and intersections of, ecology, mental health, social justice, community and spirituality. She's amazing and Advaya's events and talks on regenerative activism are amazing. And then Christiana Figueres - I love her ‘stubbornly optimistic’ attitude about the environment and taking action. She's a total hero.
