Rebecca Wetten Commercial Lead I get really fired up by creating campaigns and products that help solve the environmental crisis, inspire people and cause no harm. At Hubbub my role is to take the best ideas from the charity and scale them, generating new revenue for the charity and increasing the impact of what we can do. I’m currently working on the Ballot Bin, the world's first voting ashtray, and Plastic Fishing, trips on the world’s first plastic recycled boat to collect litter in our waterways. Before Hubbub I worked for Swedish-born app Karma, where I was helping to solve one of the planet’s biggest environmental issues: food waste. As Head of Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes, I launched the Karma app across London in early 2018 and helped to save tens of thousands of tonnes of fresh consumable food from being sent to landfill. I have also published reports in The Times and The Sunday Times on themes such as emerging technologies to ethical e-commerce. Outside of work I enjoy open water swimming and climbing mountains. I recently broke a Guinness World Record at a music festival, became World Champion in an obscure sport and featured in a BBC news article for night climbing. I volunteer for a range of organisations and causes including The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network, rainforest conservation, redistributing food to those in need and hosting women’s forums for vulnerable women.
