Mike Jones Project Co-ordinator What's your main area of work at Hubbub? I work in the Enterprise team, managing the operations for our Ballot Bins and Plastic Fishing projects. I also help to improve our way of doing things, to make sure we are as impactful as possible! What's your favourite campaign and why? It has to be Community Calling. It is the perfect example of a solution that makes a massive difference to people’s lives at the same time as tackling one of society's dirtiest products; electronic devices. What did life before Hubbub look like? I worked for a start-up tackling the housing crisis through alternative provision of housing. I wore various hats there, from supporting the initial business development and operations, to establishing and implementing the ESG and Impact frameworks. Before that, I worked for Raleigh International in business development and their ICS programs. What else are you passionate about? In my free time, I am involved with the Climate Venture Collective, a climate solution project kickstarter, as a Community manager. I am also the co-founder of a project called Box & Hanger, which looks at extending the life of school uniforms. Outside of that, food (whether that’s cooking or eating), walking, climbing and a bit of chilled kayaking. What would you eat if you only had one meal left? I will be honest, probably whatever was on my mind at the time... Right now, that is a chick'n ramen with a ton of chili peppers. Who’s your Eco crush? I remember reading the Lorax as a kid and thinking: “caring about trees is cool!”. I think that was one of the first times I became conscious about the world around me. Instilling that in a 5-year-old? Love it.
