Project Co-ordinator

What's your main area of work at Hubbub?

I feel like I've pitched in everywhere in Hubbub! Which is amazing as I've been able to dip my toe in projects across the food hub, homes hub, and cover growing areas like smart tech. My main focus is on campaigns for neighbourhoods, particularly water-based litter projects like Treasure Your River.

What's your favourite campaign and why?

It's so hard to choose but Neat Streets gets me really animated. I love the wild and wacky things Hubbub tested in this campaign; finding successes like the Ballot Bin, and being bold enough to try new ideas, even if it didn't end up as effective as hoped. Either way, shouting about what worked and what didn't are both wins for the environment!

What did life before Hubbub look like?

A chilly temperature-controlled office where I couldn't open the windows, and I used my frozen finger stumps to conduct analysis and write assessments to inform senior civil servants and permanent secretaries. I spent time out of work pulling on an stick in the Thames, litter-picking North West London and convincing bubble tea shops to make me drinks in reusable cups.

What else are you passionate about?

I'm a nerd about sci-fi, fantasy, comics, and gaming to explore the human condition, values and ethics under extremes - if we can't imagine utopia, how will we ever build one? I enjoy going fast on water, uphill on two wheels or deep in a squat rack. I also love getting my hands dirty with everything from craft to litter-picking, and getting scratched by neighbourhood cats.

What would you eat if you only had one meal left?

Hot pot because the meal would go on for hours. I'd round it off with a big portion of mango sago pudding.
