Helen Innes Project Co-ordinator What's your main area of work at Hubbub? Based in Milton Keynes, our team delivers Food Connect; a zero emissions food redistribution service that supports the community fridges in our town. We are currently a team of 7 using one e-van and two e-cargo bikes. What's your favourite campaign and why? It’s impossible to choose one campaign when there are so many brilliantly creative and fabulously executed ideas that make a difference and make me smile. Being a part of the Community Fridge Network has had the biggest impact for where I live. What did life before Hubbub look like? Life pre-Hubbub was immersed in projects mainly to encourage festivals and events to be more sustainable, organising site-specific outdoor arts, participation and educational projects. Eight Plate a surplus food project with A Greener Festival got me obsessing about food waste. What else are you passionate about? My family, helping people, being outdoors, cycling, walking and swimming, live music and lots and lots of dancing. What would you eat if you only had one meal left? Cheese (any kind the smellier the better), olives (yum) and if I were granted a drink it would be a glass of red wine. Who’s your Eco crush? It's always been the wombles. They got me very early on.
