What's your main area of work at Hubbub?

As CEO I'm lucky enough to lead a brilliant team in pursuit of Hubbub's mission. My role is to ensure that we make the greatest difference possible with the resources at our disposal. I also need to make sure we're building the strongest possible organisation, rooted in our values and culture. That means wearing lots of hats: setting our priorities, promoting our campaigns, working with our board of trustees... the list goes on!

What's your favourite campaign and why?

Plastic Fishing is special: it brings the marine pollution issue to life for everyone who steps aboard one of our recycled plastic boats. And with my business hat on, I love that we can use corporate volunteering income to subsidise environmental education for children.

What did life before Hubbub look like?

I ran my own business representing US record labels in Europe, managed musicians, and generally fulfilled my youthful music biz dreams! The lustre wore off after a while though, and a brilliant career-change programme called On Purpose helped me find more meaningful work... and here I am!

What else are you passionate about?

Books are my one true love. Classics, politics, travel, short stories... I'm rarely without a book. I still geek out about records and seek comfort in '70s soul & '90s hip hop. And it's hard to find a non-cheesy way to say this, so here goes: I'm passionate about creating a just society.

What would you eat if you only had one meal left?

A Keralan feast. Something involving dark chocolate. Armagnac.

Who’s your Eco crush?

Leonora Carrington
