'Poly-Mer' and 'PET Project' are the world's first punts made from 99% recycled plastic. They're part of a new wave of Plastic Fishing trips taking place in and around London's Docklands to fish plastic out of the river and turn the tide on marine litter. You can read more about the initiative and how the punts were made here.

If you would like to take part in a Plastic Fishing trip, Poly-Mer is available for group hire. The funds raised from the trips will be used to offer free school trips and provide support for the Plastic Fishing KS2 education kit.

What to expect from a Plastic Fishing trip

The trips offer spectacular views of Canary Wharf, are lots of fun, and offer a great team building activity whilst also being educational about the wider issue of plastics in the waterways.

What's included

Each Plastic Fishing trip lasts for 2 hours. Trips include: 45+ minutes of fishing, prizes for the team that collects the most, or most interesting, plastic and a bespoke workshop with educational activities and team games on the environmental background of the issue. All trips are led by a qualified sailing instructor.
