To celebrate the launch of the new Hubbub podcast What On Earth? I asked the Hububb team to raid their audio libraries for their hottest recommendations.

What do the Hubbub team do when they’re not out saving the world? Get the latest scoop. Here are their top five.

1) Mothers of Invention

We would be remiss to kick off proceedings with anything other than an environmental podcast - and what a one to start with. Mothers of invention presented by the former Irish President Mary Robinson and comedian Maeve Higgins celebrating the incredible achievements of women fighting for climate justice.

2) Getting Curious with JVN

every episode Jonathan Van Ness of Queer Eye fame sits down with an expert or celebrity to answer questions from everything from water pollution to what happened to the Romanov’s. WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE. Learn something new here

3) The Guilty Feminist

We are an office of mostly women and this was a fan favourite. A gloriously funny, frank and reassuring discussion about modern feminism and all of the insecurities and hypocrisies that come with it.

4) The Doorstep Murder

Are true crime podcasts OK?” Is the query that came with this entry. I don’t know how I could write this blog without them, true crime podcasts like Serial spiralled the medium to success. The Doorstop murder is a deep dive into one of Scotland's most baffling unsolved cases. Listen if you dare…

5) Sustainababble

A weekly podcast about sustainability with a healthy dose of comedy thrown in. A podcast dealing with science instead of politics and take on topics like whether alarm is helpful, what the green new deal is and what the heck is going on with glaciers. Don’t miss it.

And last but not least don't forget to tune into the Hubbub podcast What On Earth?
