Rhiannon Ashley Project Co-ordinator Rhiannon is a Media & Communications graduate from the University of Greenwich. Whilst studying she wanted to help create change for the students and was elected as; President of the Feminism Society, Societies Representative on the Student Council, and Programme Representative on her course. She was also hired as the Sustainability Hub’s Campaigns & Events Ambassador where she carried out projects such as ‘Grow At Home’, an initiative aimed at encouraging students to grow their own food, and ‘Reuse’ a campaign that resulted in saving 2 tonnes of useable kitchen items from being thrown into landfill on the Halls of Residence move-out weekend. On the course she tailored her assignments to explore different issues she cares about in more depth, her proudest piece being her final Advanced Project. The project asked questions about the relationship between art and activism, analysed the many ways that creativity can be used to provoke thought and inspire change, and concluded in exhibiting an activist artwork. After graduating Rhiannon pursued a career in the charity sector, temporarily working in administration, HR and research. She is now really excited to be joining Hubbub so that she can work on projects, combining her creative abilities with her passion for environmental and social change.
