Kirstie Brittain Project co-ordinator After graduating from the London School of Economics with an undergraduate degree in History and International relations, I became increasingly interested in sustainability and environmentalism. This was partly due to the wide-reaching impact of the seminal Blue Planet II documentary, which encouraged me to set up a petition against single-use plastic cutlery and straws and to increasingly use my social channels to speak about various environmental matters and climate change more widely. Eventually I sought out an environmentally focused master’s degree that would allow me to get academic experience in this new-found area of interest. I graduated from University College London at the end of summer after studying Environment, Politics and Society and am now working to put what I learnt and my passions into practice at Hubbub as the Sustainability Intern. I now work mostly on fashion related projects here at Hubbub, putting 8 years of experience in the modelling industry and a wider interest in sustainable fashion (particularly second-hand and charity shopping) to good use!
