Project Co-ordinator

What's your main area of work at Hubbub?

Supporting the community fridge project and network.

What's your favourite campaign and why?

I of course love all of the food campaigns, but outside of those it would probably be the Treasure Your River campaign. I feel like it really embodies Hubbub's ethos by being both a fantastic way of getting people to engage with their environment and also ripe with opportunities for a good pun! I love the Design by Nature campaign as well, I think it's inspiring to be supporting student designers using their creativity to save the planet.

What did life before Hubbub look like?

Before Hubbub I have had a number of different roles in the 3rd sector including supporting the volunteer and regional centre networks at FareShare and the British Legion. Recently I studied for an MSc in Food Policy which set me on the path of being angry at food systems and was also the stepping stone for starting a collaborative Food Systems supper club series. I've had an "ecclectic" work history including managing an Istrian guesthouse, working as a dinner lady, fruit picking, running polling stations, bartending and working with youth volunteers in rural Zanzibar.

What else are you passionate about?

Music, gigs, dogs, food (cooking, eating, talking about etc), reading, crochet, learning languages, going to the pub and above all, travelling!

What would you eat if you only had one meal left?

I'd start with some really squishy bread with butter and salt on it, then a ramen and sushi buffet (probably chuck some tempura prawns on there for good measure), followed by sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream and several pints of cider.
