The Community Fridge Network has been nominated for the National Lottery awards. We will be competing against 6 other projects for the title of 'Best Environment Project'.

The average UK family wastes £470 a year by throwing away food and drink which could have been eaten, and £3 billion is wasted by food sectors. Community Fridges are communal spaces where surplus food is shared within a local community, by businesses and individuals. They're welcoming, social spaces that are open to all.

So far 32 Community Fridges have been set up across the UK, helping thousands connect to their communities, access nutritious food, save money and reduce waste. We continue to be amazed by the growth of Community Fridge’s across the UK.
